2009 Minnesota EMC Event
The Minnesota EMC Event is sponsored by two Minnesota companies supporting Electromagnetic Compatibility challenges and solutions to the challenges. Hoolihan EMC Consulting and Northport Engineering, in cooperation with International Certification Services, Intertek, Northwest EMC and TÜV SÜD America, have been aligned, informally or formally, with the Minnesota EMC Event for a number of years. Hoolihan EMC Consulting specializes in EMC lab authorizations, EMC standards, and EMC seminars. Northport Engineering represents EMC test equipment manufacturers and component solutions. TÜV SÜD America is a testing / certification organization for EMC and Product Safety and provides ISO Management System Certification services.
The purpose of the EMC Event will be to offer the latest information on EMC standards and EMC techniques for compliance with the standards, and testing for conformity assessment to well-known national, regional, and international standards. The EMC standards will stress European and United States standards in the areas of medical devices, aerospace subsystems, and military hardware. EMC techniques will include shielding approaches, filtering recommendations, and grounding fundamentals. Recognized experts in the fields will be speaking in addition to speakers from four of the Twin Cities area EMC Testing Laboratories.
The Minnesota EMC Event should be of interest to electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, technical managers of product development efforts, quality assurance personnel, regulatory engineers and managers, and other personnel involved with design and maintenance of products having to comply with national and international regulatory requirements.
Table Top Exhibition
Table-Top Displays (Exhibits) will be open throughout the day for participants to review EMC product and service offerings. Lunch and Coffee Breaks will also be served in the exhibits area.
